Visitor and Sales Centers

I have worked on a number of visitor center projects, including Duke Energy's McGuire and Catawba Nuclear Stations and Clemson University, as well as sales centers for clients including Traton Homes and Haven Properties.

Talking Lightbulb

This was one of many displays for the McGuire Visitor Center. Pressing the appropriate language button triggered a soundtrack story of the history of electricity with sequenced flashing of the neon "filament" of the bulb.

On this project, I created the design, artwork, build drawings and oversaw the voiceover recordings.

Clemson University Orientaion Center

This small center served to provide an overview of all of the colleges within the university to prospective students and provide a brief history of the school. A video at the entrance was triggered by a proximity switch upon entry.

Woodbridge at Hamilton Lake Sales Center

This sales center featured a large arched window with side lights fixture backed by a painted mural with inset photos of the community's amenities.

As is typical of real estate sales centers, the other fixtures contained a points of interest map, a platt of the subdivision and a "builder's story" as well as a few wall graphics.

Traton Homes

Global Ministries Display

Designed and built for a local church, this thirty foot display told the story of the church's ministry efforts from around the world as well as opportunities from international to local. The center map was dimensionally layered, created by printing the continents directly on plexiglass which floated over the background print of the oceans. Repositionable vinyl decals were added to the front of the plex to indicate lcations of the church members' ministries.

As on all of the projects in this section, I created the renderings and build drawings as well as the artwork while collaborating on the overall designs. Build Drawing
